When we were assigned to redesign Snitt, a magazine on visual communication by the norwegian trade organization Grafill, we gave it an open layout that facilitated the reading flow – while creating more room for experimenting.

When redesigning Snitt, we gave more room for experimenting in the layout and the interpretations of the editorial content. We divided Snitt into three sections and used various paper stock to highlight these. The masthead reflects the name. We wanted the circular shape, inspired by a cross-section, to follow the reader in both section pages, detailing and iconography.

Snitts purpose was to raise the professional standard of visual communication in Norway and raise awareness by providing inspiration, information and grounds for debate.
